Women's Ministry

Ministry Leader: Minister Brenda Blount

Luke 10:41-42

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

The Women’s Ministry was started in 1999 under the leadership of Pastor Warren E. Amlet. There was a need for the women to come together as believers to support and encourage one another and to grow spiritually together. Our vision is that the women of First Baptist Church will live an abundant life by abiding in Christ. John 10:10—… I am come that they (we) might have life, and that they (we) might have it more abundantly.

Our mission is that we demonstrate the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)

The women’s ministry meets on the second Saturday of each month excluding May and August at 9:00 AM. In May the Pre Mother’s Day breakfast is held on the first Saturday. All women are encouraged to attend and share in each meeting. Our culminating activity is Women’s Day which is in July.

The Women’s Ministry has had workshops such as “Praise & Worship”, “Issues/Problems Unique to Women’, “Mother/Daughter Relationship”, “Budgeting” and “Health Awareness.”

The women of FBCSP are bonding together and growing spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically (health conscious). We praise God for all that He had done and all that He will do. To God Be the Glory. Our aim is to be more like Christ each day. This year the women are studying the fruit of the spirit.
